Biography

Dr. Bastuba trained at one of the country's leading medical facilities and specializes in state-of-the-art treatments and procedures relating to male fertility and male and female sexual dysfunction. He was the first resident doctor ever accepted into a prestigious fellowship program for male infertility and sexual dysfunction. Only 2% of urologists nationwide are trained experts in these highly specialized medical services and Dr. Bastuba is the only board-certified urologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who offers these services in San Diego. Dr. Bastuba grew up in Detroit, Michigan with a love for automobiles. He works hard to get couples on the fast track to fertility. His special interest lies in the procedure of vasectomy reversals.

Dr. Bastuba's experience and technical proficiency are complemented by his unique approach to patient care and service. He believes strongly in patient education, and in creating a comfortable, informal environment in which to evaluate and provide treatment options for his patients. His approach to treatment is a combination of options that have been proven to be the most effective and successful. Dr. Bastuba is fiercely committed to working diligently with his patients, taking whatever steps are necessary in order to achieve the best possible results. Dr. Bastuba invests an immense amount of time and energy to ensure that his patients approach infertility armed with knowledge and appropriate expectations. He strongly believes that a patient's care is as important before treatment as well as after and personally manages their care to provide maximum comfort and the very best results.Since 2006, he is also Medical Director at the Fertility Center of California, a sperm bank offering services fertility services, such as sperm banking, donor sperm, artificial insemination and andrology laboratory services.
